Water
The cooling circuit needs clean water kept at the right temperature. Never run the tube without it.
Wear parts
The CO2 tube is the main one and it has a finite working life. Mirrors and the focus lens need cleaning and occasional replacement.
Extraction
Filters or ducting need clearing. Cutting acrylic and MDF produces smoke that has to leave the room.

What is the difference between this and a laser marking machine?
A marking laser writes on a surface. A cutting laser goes through it. That is a different business, not a bigger version of the same one - this machine turns sheet material into finished parts, so what you sell is a product rather than a service.
Will it cut metal?
No. This is a CO2 machine and it is for non-metals: acrylic, MDF, plywood, leather, fabric and board. For marking metal you want the fiber laser marker. Anyone selling you one machine for both is selling you a disappointment.
Why is the 3 x 4 ft bed the size that matters?
Because it takes a standard sheet without you redesigning the job around the machine. A smaller bed looks cheaper and then costs you in wasted offcuts and in the orders you have to turn down, every week, forever.
What do I need to have ready before it arrives?
A 220-240V supply, somewhere the extraction duct can vent to outside air, and space around the machine to load full sheets. Sort the extraction early - it is the thing people leave until delivery day and then cannot use the machine.
Is the lead time really 30-50 days?
