Granite holds an engraving the way paper never can - for generations. Colorshade's granite engraving in Kenya renders portraits, names and dedications into polished stone using laser precision, producing detail fine enough for a photographic likeness.

Families commission granite pieces as memorial plaques and headstone elements, where permanence is the entire point. Institutions order them for a different reason: foundation stones, dedication plaques and honour boards that must still read clearly decades after the unveiling ceremony.
Every piece is engraved in our Nairobi workshop from artwork we prepare and confirm with you first - the photograph, the names, the dates and wording all approved before the laser touches stone, because on granite there are no second drafts.
